“Midwest Perspective” is a speculative 28 page zine reimagining my childhood home in Ohio as an alien world. It takes the reader on a tour through a “typical Ohio home” and shows colorful, hand-drawn illustrations of dreamlike scenes from this strange world. It examines the distorting effects that nostalgia has on physical space, and questions the notion of an ideal American home.
